Cylinder Extends, Dwells before Retracting.
(Spool Valves Shown)
The cylinder will extend and dwell before being automatically
retracted. The volume will extend the dwell time and also
improve repeatability by allowing more flow and less critical
adjustment of the flow control.
Cylinder Deceleration Circuit. (Poppet Valve
Shown)
Cylinder velocity will be reduced when a predetermined position
has been reached. Needle valve number 2 will be removed from
the circuit when the limit valve is actuated by the cylinder rod,
leaving flow control number 1 to control cylinder speed. This
circuit will prevent damage to cylinders due to stopping of high
momentum loads.
