Gap (Material Thickness)
The gap between the grip points when the jaws are parallel is
Gap = Material Thickness – *0.5mm
* 0.5mm is used as a correction factor for fits and tolerances
* / / indicates the 2 surfaces are parallel
Example - For material thickness of 2mm, Gap is 2mm - 0.5mm = 1.5mm
A = 40.7mm - 1.5mm = 19.6mm
